The journal prioritizes studies that offer interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives, aiming to bridge gaps between science, policy, and practice. Articles that highlight innovative approaches, technological advancements, and policy solutions in marine science are especially encouraged.

Scope

This journal seeks to publish a broad range of scholarly articles, including:

  1. Coastal Conservation: JMarPT endeavors to advance understanding and practice in coastal conservation by publishing research that explores effective strategies for the protection and restoration of fragile marine ecosystems. From biodiversity conservation to habitat management, we seek to promote science-based approaches that safeguard the ecological integrity of coastal areas.
  2. Waste Management: Addressing the pervasive issue of marine litter and pollution, JMarPT provides a platform for research that delves into innovative waste management solutions. Through the dissemination of studies on recycling technologies, waste reduction initiatives, and policy frameworks, we aim to foster a cleaner and healthier marine environment.
  3. Climate Action: Recognizing the urgent need for climate action, JMarPT publishes research that examines the impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems and communities. By spotlighting adaptation and mitigation strategies, as well as interdisciplinary approaches to climate resilience, we strive to empower stakeholders to confront the challenges posed by a changing climate.
  4. Sustainable Practices: Central to our mission is the promotion of sustainable practices that balance the needs of present and future generations. JMarPT welcomes research that explores sustainable fisheries management, coastal tourism development, and community-based conservation initiatives, among other topics, with the aim of fostering harmonious relationships between humans and the marine environment.
