Aim and Scope

Peatland Agriculture and Climate Change Journal (PACC) is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal, published by Institute for Advanced Social, Science, and Sustainable Future (IASSSF), Jakarta, Indonesia, with e-ISSN: 3048-2690. PACC is published twice a year (February and August), and all articles published are available online with open access.

Aims

PACC aims to advance knowledge and foster innovative solutions at the intersection of peatland management, agricultural practices, and climate change mitigation. The journal seeks to address the unique challenges and opportunities associated with peatlands, emphasizing their critical role in both agriculture and climate regulation.

Focus

PACC uniquely explores sustainable peatland management strategies that harmonize agricultural productivity with ecological preservation. It delves into innovative approaches for carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas reduction in peatland environments. The journal also emphasizes the integration of local knowledge and cutting-edge technologies to address both climate change challenges and socio-economic impacts.

Scope

This journal seeks to publish a broad range of scholarly articles, including:

  1. Integrated Peatland Management Approaches: Examines holistic and integrated management strategies that address both agricultural productivity and ecological health in peatland areas, with a focus on balancing land use and conservation goals.

  2. Carbon Dynamics and Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Investigates the carbon dynamics of peatlands under different agricultural practices, including methods for monitoring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

  3. Restoration and Rehabilitation Practices: Researches innovative practices for restoring and rehabilitating degraded peatlands to enhance their ecological function and resilience, and their integration into agricultural systems.

  4. Community-Based and Indigenous Perspectives: Highlights the role of local and indigenous knowledge in peatland management and agriculture, emphasizing participatory approaches and traditional practices that contribute to sustainable outcomes.

  5. Global and Regional Policy Implications: Analyzes the impact of global and regional policies on peatland agriculture and climate change, exploring how policy frameworks can support sustainable practices and climate resilience.
