Aim and Scope

Social, Ecology, Economy for Sustainable Development Goals Journal (SEESDGJ) is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal, published by Institute for Advanced Social, Science, and Sustainable Future (IASSSF), Jakarta, Indonesia, with e-ISSN: 3025-3942. SEESDGJis published twice a year (January and July), and all articles published are available online with open access.

 

Aims

SEESDGJ aims to provide a comprehensive platform for publishing original research articles and theoretical and empirical reviews focused on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The journal seeks to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge that integrates social, ecological, and economic dimensions to address and achieve these global goals. SEESDGJ is committed to advancing research that offers innovative solutions and actionable insights into sustainable development.

 

Focus

SEESDGJ focuses on supporting students, researchers, and lecturers by publishing high-quality research that addresses the intersection of social, ecological, and economic factors with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The journal emphasizes both theoretical and practical contributions that enhance understanding and promote progress toward achieving these goals. SEESDGJ aims to feature studies that explore effective strategies, innovative practices, and interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable development.

 

Scope

This journal seeks to publish a broad range of scholarly articles, including: 

  • Social Innovations for Sustainability: Investigating social innovations and community-driven initiatives that address sustainability challenges and contribute to achieving the SDGs. This includes studies on grassroots movements, social entrepreneurship, and participatory approaches that enhance social resilience and equity.

  • Ecological Systems and Their Management: Exploring research on the management of ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, and the impacts of ecological changes on human and environmental health. Emphasis is placed on sustainable practices that protect natural resources and promote ecological balance.

  • Economic Strategies for Sustainable Development: Analyzing economic models and policies that drive sustainable development, including green economy practices, circular economy principles, and sustainable business strategies. The focus is on how economic activities can be aligned with sustainability goals while fostering economic growth and development.

  • Interdisciplinary Approaches to SDGs: Promoting research that combines social, ecological, and economic dimensions to address complex sustainability challenges. This includes studies on how these dimensions interact and influence one another in the context of the SDGs.

  • Policy and Governance for Sustainable Development: Providing insights into effective policy frameworks and governance mechanisms that support sustainable development. Research may cover policy innovations, governance structures, and the role of institutions in advancing the SDGs.

  • Resilient Communities and Urban Sustainability: Examining strategies for building resilient communities and sustainable urban environments. This includes research on smart city technologies, sustainable infrastructure, and community adaptation to environmental and social changes.

  • Equity and Inclusion in Sustainable Development: Focusing on how equity and inclusion can be integrated into sustainable development practices. This includes studies on addressing disparities, promoting social justice, and ensuring that sustainability efforts benefit all segments of society.

  • Global and Local Synergies for SDGs: Researching how global sustainability goals can be effectively implemented at local levels. This includes case studies of successful local initiatives, cross-border collaborations, and the adaptation of global strategies to local contexts.
