About the Journal
Penelitian Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (PIPS) is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal, published by Institute for Advanced Social, Science, and Sustainable Future (IASSSF), Jakarta, Indonesia. PIPS is published twice a year (February and August), and all articles published are available online with open access.
Aims
PIPS is dedicated to advancing social science research that addresses complex societal challenges through innovative interdisciplinary approaches and contextual understanding. Its goal is to promote scholarship that examines the dynamic relationships between social structures, cultural practices, and environmental conditions while considering diverse perspectives and knowledge systems. By providing a platform for rigorous social science inquiry, PIPS aims to foster research that contributes to more nuanced understanding of contemporary social phenomena and supports the development of inclusive, culturally-sensitive approaches to societal transformation.

This journal focuses on research that explores the intricate connections between social processes, cultural dynamics, and environmental contexts, with particular attention to how these relationships manifest in different geographical and cultural settings. It emphasizes studies that employ diverse methodological approaches to understand social change, power dynamics, and collective action while considering the voices and experiences of various communities.
