AIM AND SCOPE

Journal of Socio-Cultural Sustainability and Resilience (JSCSR) is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal, published by Institute for Advanced Social, Science, and Sustainable Future (IASSSF), Jakarta, Indonesia, with e-ISSN: 3025-0269. JSCSR is published twice a year (January and July), and all articles published are available online with open access.

 

Aims

JSCSR aims to publish scholarly works that critically engage with community development dynamics, socio-environmental issues, and cultural sustainability. The journal seeks to contribute to global understanding in these areas, with a particular emphasis on research relevant to Indonesian society.

 

Focus

JSCSR focuses on publishing high-quality articles that foster discussions and debates about the preservation of local wisdom, community empowerment, and sustainable development. The journal encourages interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches, highlighting how local strategies and innovations can enhance cultural resilience and sustainability within the Indonesian context, while also promoting socio-environmental justice.

This journal seeks to publish a broad range of scholarly articles, including: 

  • Preservation of Local Wisdom: Studies on traditional knowledge, cultural heritage, and practices that contribute to the sustainability of communities.

  • Community Empowerment: Research on strategies and practices aimed at enhancing the capacity of communities to improve their socio-economic and cultural conditions.

  • Sustainable Development: Papers addressing the integration of environmental, social, and economic considerations in development practices, with a focus on creating sustainable futures.

  • Cultural Resilience and Adaptation: Examines how communities adapt their cultural practices in response to environmental changes and socio-economic pressures, focusing on resilience strategies that maintain cultural integrity while fostering sustainability.

  • Indigenous and Local Innovations: Highlights innovative solutions developed by indigenous and local communities to address contemporary socio-environmental challenges, including sustainable resource management and community-driven conservation efforts.
