The journal seeks to bridge the gap between placemaking theories and practical streetscape design, emphasizing how design interventions can enhance community well-being and urban resilience.

Focus

The journal focuses on integrating aesthetic, functional, and ecological aspects of urban spaces to foster dynamic and inclusive public environments. It emphasizes research that combines design theory with practical applications to improve streetscapes, promote community engagement, and address environmental challenges. JPSTD is dedicated to showcasing how thoughtful design can transform public spaces into places of social interaction, cultural expression, and ecological balance.
