Aim and Scope

Archaeology Nexus: Journal of Conservation and Culture (Arc-JCC) is a leading peer-reviewed and open-access journal, published by Institute for Advanced Social, Science, and Sustainable Future (IASSSF), Jakarta, Indonesia, with e-ISSN: 3048-2631. Arc-JCC is published twice a year (February and August), and all articles published are available online with open access.

 

Aims

Arc-JCC aims to advance the field of archaeological conservation by providing a platform for innovative research related to the preservation of cultural heritage. The journal focuses on exploring the complex interplay between conservation practices and cultural contexts, highlighting new methodologies, interdisciplinary approaches, and the impact of conservation on cultural heritage.

 

Focus

Arc-JCC is dedicated to publishing high-quality research that links archaeological conservation with cultural studies. The journal prioritizes studies that integrate conservation science with cultural understanding, examining how conservation practices both influence and are influenced by cultural values and historical contexts. Contributions offering new insights into the preservation of archaeological sites and artifacts, as well as the significance of these practices in maintaining cultural heritage, are highly encouraged.
