Abstract

Latar Belakang: The Body Shop merupakan perusahaan kosmetik yang telah mengkampanyekan program daur ulang. Kampanye ini menarik konsumen untuk mendapatkan poin yang selanjutnya dapat ditukar dengan pembelian produk baru. Kehadiran kampanye ini menarik emosi positif masyarakat dalam pembelian barang dengan dalih cinta lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran kampanye yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan The Body Shop. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan bersifat konklusif; menguji hipotesis yang dihasilkan oleh penulis untuk mengenali kausalitas antar variabel dalam model yang sudah ditentukan, memberikan gambaran hubungan yang ada antara variabel-variabel independen (attitude, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, moral norms, willingness to sacrifice, anticipated positive emotions), dan variabel independen (return intention) yang disertakan dalam penelitian. Penulis melakukan pengumpulan data secara cross-sectional. Temuan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa enam variabel yang diusulkan dalam model studi kasus terhadap penerapan reverse logistics The Body Shop tidak sepenuhnya sesuai dengan hipotesis-hipotesis yang dibangun. Dalam perbandingan antara penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis dengan jurnal utama, setiap penelitian memiliki data primer serta justifikasi yang menjadi kerangka dari argumen yang dihasilkan. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian walaupun para responden merasa mereka memiliki waktu luang dan persepsi pengendalian perilaku yang cukup untuk berpartisipasi dalam program BBOB, keterbatasan-keterbatasan lain dapat memainkan peran sebagai penyebab tidak signifikannya hubungan antara niat pengembalian dengan perceived behavioral control.
