These five articles are from two countries, Indonesia and Bangladesh, with cities represented including Central Jakarta, Depok, East Jakarta, and Patuakhali. The contributing institutions include Universitas Indonesia, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, and the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA). The articles address a range of disaster and environmental issues, including tidal flood risk, salinity intrusion, coastal agricultural resilience, forest-cover loss, hydrometeorological disaster exposure, emergency nutrition, earthquake preparedness, and disaster preparedness for persons with disabilities. Collectively, this issue highlights the importance of risk assessment, environmental management, community resilience, and inclusive disaster preparedness in addressing complex and interconnected disaster challenges.
